Released on: April 28, 2008, 1:24 pm

Press Release Author: Skyray XRF

Industry: Food & Beverage

Press Release Summary: Skyray XRF offers non-destructive solutions for hazardous
substance detection with desktop and portable x-ray fluorescence instruments.

Press Release Body: A new option is available to organizations that take in-house
control in proving compliance to hazardous substance regulations. Skyray XRF offers
portable and desktop x-ray fluorescence (XRF) instruments that provide fast,
non-destructive analysis of product for lead content and other restricted metals.

Recent hazardous substance regulations including RoHS, Proposition-65 and
Lead-Content in Jewelry Law regulate toxic metals (lead, cadmium, etc) in a wide
range of industries. The regulations affect many consumer product lines and have
led to recalls in costume jewelry, toys, cosmetics and more. X-ray fluorescence is
as an accepted testing method that reads below the parts-per-million (ppm) levels
required for compliance.

The Pocket-II is the handheld option available through Skyray XRF. It is one of the
lightest portable units available (under four pounds) and provides the user with
mobile analysis of product without size or shape restrictions. Skyray XRF offers
multiple desktop XRF options with various features that improve accuracy and provide
solutions to additional testing needs that many organizations have.

"We are happy to offer both portable and desktop options for organizations that want
in-house control of regulation testing," stated Scott Kramer, Director of Sales and
Marketing for Skyray XRF. "It is important to a large number of organizations that
they are able to quickly prove compliance without destroying the product and we
offer some of the most accurate options available."

Skyray XRF is the first North American representative of Skyray Instrument Inc, an
international leader in x-ray fluorescence technology. For more information, call
